About Ocha Thai Noodle Restaurant
We are open late
Located at 422 Semple St, Pittsburgh, PA 15213, Ocha Thai Noodle Restaurant operates as a thai restaurant serving Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Pittsburgh, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Pennsylvania run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 3 pmβ1 am. Note that it does not open on Tuesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Ocha Thai Noodle Restaurant at (412) 251-0262; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, ochathainoodlepa.com.
Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 291 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Pittsburgh is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Pittsburgh is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

$45 on DoorDash pickup for pad see ew w shrimp and Thai fried rice w chicken, maybe $15 more than the same takeout order at Noodlehead. Main problem at Ocha was that they were both lacking any flavor. Iβve always enjoyed pad see ew from Danc Crab or Noodlehead. But these white noodles didnβt have flavor, were small, and they were really not a great texture- it was giving like a blob of inseparable noodles.

I got the small fried rice soup delivered. The flavor was great but there was no broth, the rice soaked it all up. This was pretty disappointing because Iβm sick and ordered that meal because it was soupβ¦.but what I got was a deliciously moist fried rice not soup π Please package the components separate for to go orders in the future!

Iβve been eating Ocha Thai for 3 years now. I can wholeheartedly tell you itβs not what it used to be. Late night comfort food. 2am pad Thai. Weβve all been there. One of the few places open late on Uber. Thatβs how I found it back in 2022. Never had Thai before and I was looking for something new. I tried the spicy Basil fried rice, the pad Thai, and the Thai wings. Usually thereβs a trade off on open late places and food food so I was so surprised how good the food was given how late they were open. They remained consistent until about mid 2024, when I ordered them again after a while. I had the spicy Basil fried rice with chicken egg rolls (my usual) and something just tasted different. Rice was clumpier. The Thai flavor was just lagging behind. I was disappointed because I knew it was so much more. Today was my first time ordering in 11 months and I can confidently say itβs not the same Ocha I enjoyed those years ago. The pad Thai noodles had an off texture and the chicken egg rolls were a bit soggier, less firm, and had a reheated taste. Itβs not to say that I would never order here again, but I wouldnβt say Ocha Mid is up there with the bests.

One of the few places open past midnight where you can enjoy not just a meal, but truly delicious food. The interior is simple and authentic, adding to the cozy atmosphere. The flavors of Thai cuisine here are so good, you'll definitely want to come back.
